Since 2012 I've been rooting my nexus devices using toolkits and I bought the Amazon fire in order to root it.
Unfortunately I fumbled a bit in the order of doing so:
1- I just flashed cyanogemod and forgot the GAPPS.
2- then I tried to install TWRP with its own application (didn't work very well)
results: Now I am without recovery mode (trying to push down and power button, puts me with amazon logo for hours (same when i reboot directly to recovery using CM)) and I dont know how to install GAPPS without recovery.
Someone? :highfive:

PS: Another solution would be installing google play without dealing with recovery.
its not the best solution, but at least i could install other apps.
