Meizu M2 Note vs Yu Yureka Plus vs Lenovo K3 Note: Price, specifications, features co

Earlier today, Meizu announced that its M2 Note will go on sale in India next week. At this price, the smartphone falls in the segment currently dominated by the likes of the and the Lenovo K3 note. Not surprisingly, comparisons are being made and we pit them against each other on the basis of their price, specifications, and features.
Price: The three smartphones are quite similarly priced. The M2 Note and the K3 Note are priced at Rs 9,999 each. The Yureka Plus too was launched at Rs 9,999, But currently get a price cut, effectively bringing its retail price down to Rs 8,999. With the price cut, the Yureka Plus is currently the most affordable smartphone in India with a 1080p display.
Display: These smartphones are the three most affordable smartphones in India with a 1080p display. The size of the screens is the same as well at 5.5-inches.
Processor: Again there is little differentiating the three smartphones since all are powered by 64-bit octa-core processors. The M2 Note is powered by a MediaTek MT6753 chipset, the Yureka Plus by a Snapdragon 615 chipset, and the K3 Note by a MediaTek MT6752 chipset. All the processors are paired with 2GB of RAM.
Storage: This round is a tie since the three smartphones feature 16GB internal storage, which can be expanded using a microSD card.
Cameras: On paper there is nothing differentiating the three, since they all feature a 13-megapixel rear camera and a 5-megapixel selfie camera. That’s not to say that they are on par in terms of performance. We will reserve our judgment till we have reviewed the smartphones.
Battery: The M2 Note has the biggest battery of the lot – 3,100mAh. The K3 Note follows closely with a 3,000mAh battery, while the Yureka Plus lags behind with a 2,500mAh battery.
Connectivity and Software: All the smartphones feature dual-SIM card slots, 4G LTE support, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. On the software front, the three smartphones run on Android Lollipop. The OS on the M2 Note is wrapped under Flyme 4.5 UI, the Yureka Plus runs on Cyanogen 12 OS, while the K3 Note runs on Vibe 2.0 UI.
There is very little differentiating the three smartphones on paper. The Meizu M2 Note, Yu Yureka Plus and the Lenovo K3 Note are priced similarly, and boast many of the same specifications and features as well. We will however reserve our judgment on which is the best smartphone until we have reviewed all of them.
