Deer Hunting simple but still interesting game
The demarcation of a mobile game has changed rapidly over the past few years, yet the most popular games on the App Store still tend to be those that can be played in short bursts at any time without much introduction. Deer Hunting definitely fits that bill, and is a game youll keep coming back to, unable to pull away for too long at a time.
It is like other sniper games available in the market either paid or free but with some major twists that actually makes it much more entertaining experience in many ways.
Deer Hunting is basically a simple hunting game. Pickup your sniper and then aim and shoot the moving deer before the time is up. The game-play is quite self-explanatory in that the cross-hairs signify the gun is pointing. Controlling the cross-hair is done by moving the finger across the screen where the shooting and scope utilize the buttons available on the screen. Its a bit less involved than most other hunting games of course most likely to cater to the pick-up-and-play mobile audience. Rather than tracking targets through the underbrush across acres of simulated woods, players simply strafe left and right across a limited area to get a better view of their prey. Instead of focusing on the chase, its all about the kill shot. Where the animal is hit (head, heart, lungs, etc.) can make all the difference. When you kill a deer you get some money and the money earned from each hunt can then be used to upgrade weapons or purchase new ones, which can make one a more efficient killing machine.
It is a wave based game mean once you clear a wave you entered into the next one in the row. Unfortunately for the time being it has only six waves to play and I hope in future version the developers will add more waves and other interesting stuff to the game so that once can have more fun time with the game.
The graphics are not exactly authentic recreations of the outside world as the game box claims. But a good job has been done by adding some depth in terms of color, texture and overall physics used in the environments.
I was shocked to find myself having as much fun with deer hunting as Ive been. Once I got over the initial shock of shooting an innocent fuzzy deer in the face, I mean. Honestly though, after the first few hunts my worries about overly-simplistic game-play disappeared and I found myself taking my time while finding the best possible angle to shot the deer. And before I knew it, my entire evening was behind me.
