Got myself a second hand (but never used) Z3 like 2 months back and it's working like a wonder woman except that I started noticing at first, all my ebooks disappeared from their respective folders from the official "Downloads" folder where I placed them (e.g "Downloads/Ebooks/Terry Pratchett/Disc World/Mort"). The whole folder structure and images (book cover) where still there but not the book itself. Eventually gave up after repeated tries and started reading my hard copies instead :)
A week ago, I happily started reliving my childhood days by playing emulated ROMs (Sega Genesis/Nintendo Gameboy) but same thing happened again! Folder structure intact but both .gb (Gameboy file) and save files, gone!!
So after third time I'm pissed! whatta hell is going on here?? All other downloaded files like images or mp3s are still in the downloads folder. Is this some kinda DRM voodoo? *fatigued*
After some research (vague info online) and suggestions I tried to:
- replace the files (copy/move) outside the "Downloads" folder to the root or other folders but still the same. I tried to put the game files on the SD card but then they aren't reachable by the emulator (forgot to try with the books though).
- Downloaded from different browser on the phone + from laptop to phone but still the same.
Any ideas? This smells more fishy to me than Swedish Surstromming!
Btw, don't feel like rooting my phone (if suggested) since it still has 1 year warranty to it. Thanks in advance! :)
